ADNIL PRESS is a family-run business, run by Bill and Linda Maher, together with our eight children.

We began Adnil Press in the year 2000, when, armed with only a computer, a photocopier, and a simple binding machine, we began to self-publish our English programme, Voyages in Language and Voyages in Literature.

We had time on our hands way back then - why, we only had seven children to deal with! Now, we have eight, and Adnil Press has certainly grown.

Bill is most likely the first person you'll 'meet' - from answering phone calls and emails, to packing the orders--he's also Mr. Maintenance--or, 'Will-E-Fix-It' as he's been know for most of his life - keeping all the equipment up & running, as well as doing the printing. And if that's not enough, he's "Mr. Logical" as well --ready with an answer to most problems, when all hope seems lost.

Linda does most of the 'backup' work--ordering, packing, answering emails, and keeping the stocks up. She also does most of the web-sites these days (after Bill taught her how!), and most importantly (and most enjoyably), 'researching' and 'reviewing' new products.

16 year-old Jessica is our newest addition to 'the office' - helping out with answering the phone, ordering, typing and packing. This business is really turning out to be a combined family effort!

The rest of the children are incredibly helpful--and are very willing to try out new products and give their first-hand accounts on any new books that arrive. Children, we've found, are brutally honest--and if that "fantastic, new curriculum" that Mum is very excited about is well, not quite as good as she'd hoped--they'll let her know, in no uncertain terms!
